Dr. Clare Liddy is the interim Chair of the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine, as well as a Clinical Investigator at the C.T. Lamont Primary Health Care Research Centre, an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine with a cross-appointment to the School of Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and a Tier 2 Clinical Research Chair in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. She practices comprehensive Family Medicine within the Ottawa Hospital Academic Family Health Team at the Riverside Family Medicine Clinic and is a senior investigator with the Bruyère Research Institute. Dr. Liddy has published over 125 peer-reviewed papers with a proven record of accomplishment of moving research into practice and has built a national and international reputation as an expert in chronic disease self-management, advancing primary health care for people living with HIV, and improving access to specialist care. In 2019, Dr. Liddy was recognized as the Family Medicine Researcher of the Year Award from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
