Dr. Lopert holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Health Policy at George Washington University, where she was previously a Visiting Professor in 2011-2012. From 2008-11 Dr. Lopert was chief medical officer in the FDA’s Australian counterpart agency, the Therapeutic Goods Administration and in 2006-07 was a Commonwealth Fund Harkness Fellow in Health Policy. Previously, Dr. Lopert established and directed the Pharmaceutical Policy Taskforce in the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, responsible for developing policy options to support the long-term sustainability of the country’s pharmaceutical benefits program. She has also previously served as director of the AU$9 billion program and as a clinical and technical adviser to the program’s expert formulary committee.
